Week of May 6th, 2024,

So there isn't much to say, but there is at the same time. In terms of guild projects, not that much has been going on recently. The B Team has been working on finishing the design for BBASE-02, which is quite possibly the biggest and most awe-inspiring build the guild has done so far, second only to maybe Khaz, the massive, Ironforge themed build.

On other fronts, as you can see we now have a website up and running. I didn't use any kind of hosting or anything; this site is running on Soulnet with the rest of the SBC stack. This is painful, yes; however, this gives us the added flexibility to do literally whatever we want with it.

On that note, you may notice we also now have The Archives and The Forums properly set up, which we wouldn't be able to do unless we self-hosted with apache. So, nice, I guess. To recap:

Things Soul nearly broke all of SBC to add this week:

• The Archives: A literal wiki for all the Guild lore. At time of writing, nothing has really been added, but I am working on a db link with SBCDCBPRD across the SoulNet VPC to auto-pull lore elements from LoreMaester.


• The Forums: This one was a real bitch, but it works now! Do what thou wilt shalt be the whole of the law.
